Jump with Steve
East Anglian Air Ambulance partnering with Steve Truglia and Skydive Airkix
Steve Truglia is to launch a bid to break both the European and World High Altitude Records for Skydiving. This summer he will jump from a gas filled balloon at over 50,000ft, and next year plans to jump from the edge of space at 120,000ft. Steve is being hosted by Skydive Airkix during equipment familiarisation training for the 2008 attempt and is also being supported by Airkix in Milton Keynes for much of his freefall training in the vertical wind tunnel. Steve’s record attempt has been the subject of much media attention already. He has been interviewed on Richard & Judy, highlighted on Natasha Kapinsky’s Channel Five News, and been featured on ITV’s News at 6.30 and News at Ten. He was also in the Daily Telegraph, The Sunday Times, The Sun and many other publications Worldwide. Later he will be the subject of a documentary that has International multi-channel interest.

‘Jump with Steve’ – a cause based programme to assist EAAA raise vital funds by inviting supporters, members of the public, to raise sponsorship and join Steve in his space jump quest. EAAA supporters will achieve this by also taking off and ‘free-falling’ at Sibson Airfield during 2008, many during the time that Steve will be training for his record attempts. Supporters will make Tandem Skydives from 13,000ft securely attached to an experienced British Parachute Association Instructor. After the free-fall, a five minute canopy ride will bring jumpers to earth with a precision touchdown. Click here to visit EAAA's website.
